Driving Range

In 2002, we received permitting from the State of NC to pipe the small creek behind the driving range.  Since then, we used clean fill from golf course (sod, soil etc) projects to raise the area up.  It allowed us to dispose of clean debris on site, reducing costs in hauling the material off site.  In fact, over 12 years, this saved the club well over $100,000!  Yesterday, we extended that pipe another 40ft so we can begin to fill the valley that exists 200 yards from the tee.  Given an intense winter work schedule, we will most likely fill the area in.  I estimate we have about 2-3 more years of dumping on site before we are forced to begin hauling the material off.  It has been a great asset to the club; being about to dispose of debris on site.
